Fertilizer @ SVIZONA (PMC)

SVIZONA’s PMC team provide a comprehensive solutions for clients looking to develop and operate fertilizer manufacturing facilities. With over 30 years of experience in the Fertilizer industry, SVIZONA’s experts & consultants have the experience and knowledge needed to help clients navigate the complexities of the project and achieve successful operations.

Project management and consultancy for fertilizer plants is a critical service that helps ensure the successful development, implementation, and operation of fertilizer manufacturing facilities. Developing a fertilizer plant requires significant expertise and experience in many areas, including understanding the process, project management, engineering, construction, regulatory compliance, and more.

SVIZONA offers project management and consultancy services to fertilizer plants, backed by over 30 years of experience in the industry. Our experienced team of experts deeply understands most of the fertilizer manufacturing processes i.e., ammonia, urea, nitric acid, ammonium nitrate, Calcium ammonium Nitrate, Nitro phosphate, DAP, urea-phosphate, Sulfuric acid, ammonium sulfate, utilities and NPK fertilizers. We provide guidance and support at every project stage, from initial planning to commissioning and operation.

SVIZONA’s project management and consultancy services typically begin with a comprehensive feasibility study, which helps determine the project’s feasibility and identify potential risks and opportunities. This study will consider factors such as the availability of raw materials, the cost of production, and the demand for the finished product.

Once the feasibility study is complete, SVIZONA’s consultants work closely with the client to develop a detailed project plan, including a budget and timeline. Our teams also assist in securing financing and permits and oversee the plant’s construction and commissioning.

Throughout the project, SVIZONA’s consultants provide regular updates and progress reports and work closely with the client to ensure the project stays on track and within budget. We also offer ongoing support after the plant is operational, helping to optimize production processes, reduce costs, and ensure regulatory compliance.

NITRIC ACID PLANT

Nitric acid, synthesis & concentration.

Nitrates, Nitric Acid & Nitrogenous Compound Fertilizer Plants: These fertilizer plants produce nitrogenous fertilizers (ammonical and nitrate) essential for plant growth. Main Raw Material for nitrogenous fertilizers production is Ammonia and Nitric Acid. More than 98% of ammonia is produced from low-carbon hydrocarbons, mainly natural gas, air and water as feedstock. Nitric acid is produced through the catalytic oxidation of ammonia with oxygen from air. Ammonia production through hydrocarbon also produces CO2 as a by-product and is used to produce Urea. Other nitrogenous fertilizers like ammonium nitrate, ammonium sulfate, calcium ammonium nitrate are produced by neutralizing ammonia with corresponding acids i.e. Nitric acid and sulfuric acid. Our fertilizer team has vast experience in preparing ITB, Technical and commercial bid evaluations, basic and detail engineering review, erection supervision, commissioning, process optimization and operation and debottlenecking studies. Our team is specialized in following nitrogenous plants.

  • Nitric acid Plant
  • Calcium nitrate (CN), calcium ammonium nitrate (CAN)
  • Potassium nitrate (KN), sodium nitrate (NaN)
  • Ammonium sulphate (AS)
  • Urea derivatives, Urea Phosphate (UP), urea ammonium sulphate (UAS) and urea ammonium nitrate (UAN)

These types of fertilizer plants are responsible for producing nitrogenous fertilizers essential for plant growth. They produce fertilizers such as ammonium nitrate, urea, and ammonium sulfate. These plants usually use natural gas as a feedstock to produce nitric acid, which is then used to produce nitrogenous fertilizers.

Nitro Phosphate Fertilizer Plants: Our fertilizer team is specialized in NP fertilizer production process. They have been involved and acted in the leading role in designing (basic and Detail Engineering), procurement, erection, commissioning, and operation of NP and CN conversion plant for Fatima fertilizers NP Plant producing through nitro-phosphate route [with or without calcium nitrate, with and without calcium Conversion to produce CN or CAN] being formed by prilling or granulation. The production process involves the reaction of phosphate rock with weak nitric acid to form a mixture of nitro-phosphate fertilizers. These NP & NPK fertilizers are often used for crops that require nitrogen and phosphorus, for healthier plant roots.

Straight & Compound Fertilizer Plants: Urea-based, ammonium nitrate-based fertilizers or ammonium sulphate-based fertilizers, MAP or DAP-based fertilizers, mixed compound fertilizers with or without micronutrient. Straight and compound fertilizer plants produce various fertilizers such as urea, single super phosphate, triple super phosphate, and ammonium phosphate. These types of fertilizer plants use various raw materials such as rock phosphate, sulfur, and ammonia to produce different fertilizers. Straight fertilizers contain only one nutrient, such as nitrogen or phosphorus, while compound fertilizers contain a combination of two or more nutrients.

LIQUID FERTILIZER PLANTS

Urea ammonium nitrate (UAN): Water soluble raw materials (KNO3, MAP, MKP…) and fertilizers (NP, NK, NPK) Liquid fertilizer plants produce fertilizers that are dissolved in water and can be applied directly to the soil or sprayed onto crops. These plants use various raw materials, such as ammonia and phosphoric acid, to produce liquid fertilizers. These types of fertilizers are often used for foliar feeding, where nutrients are sprayed onto the leaves of plants. Liquid fertilizers can also be applied through irrigation systems.

Sulphuric Acid & Derivatives Fertilizer Plants: These types of fertilizer plants produce sulphuric acid, an essential ingredient in many fertilizers. The production of sulphuric acid involves the reaction of sulfur dioxide with oxygen and water. Sulphuric acid is then used to produce various fertilizers, such as ammonium sulfate and superphosphate.

Phosphoric Acid & Derivatives Fertilizer Plants: Phosphoric acid and derivatives fertilizer plants produce fertilizers that contain phosphorus. These fertilizers are essential for plant growth and are often used with nitrogen and potassium. The production of phosphoric acid involves the reaction of phosphate rock with sulfuric acid. The resulting phosphoric acid is then used to produce TSP (S45) with or without micronutrients MAP & DAP MCP & DCP
